Hello, Patyrn creators!

As your creative ideas flow, you might find your project filled with multiple pages. Some are final designs, some are experiments, and others are happy accidents. To keep your workspace tidy and focused, knowing how to manage your pages is essential.

Today, we're covering a simple but powerful feature: deleting pages. Let's walk through how you can clean up your project and keep your best work front and center.

When to Delete a Page

You might want to delete a page to:

  • Remove an accidental duplicate.
  • Get rid of early drafts or experimental designs you no longer need.
  • Simplify your project before exporting the final patterns.

How to Delete a Page: Step-by-Step

  • Navigate to the Page Card: Scroll through your project to find the page you wish to remove.
  • Find the Page Controls: In the header of each page card, to the right of the page title, you'll see a set of control icons.
  • Click the Trash Can Icon: Click on the trash can icon (<i class="fa-solid fa-trash"></i>). The page will be instantly removed from your project.

Important Note: Page deletion is immediate and permanent. This action cannot be undone using the Undo command, so be sure you want to remove the page before clicking!

The "Last Page" Rule

Every masterpiece needs a canvas! For that reason, you cannot delete the very last page in your project. If you only have one page left, you'll notice the trash can icon is grayed out and disabled. A project must always have at least one page.

Pro-Tips for Page Management

  • Duplicate Before You Drastically Change: Not sure about a major design change? Instead of editing your main page, use the Duplicate icon (<i class="fa-solid fa-copy"></i>) first. You can experiment freely on the copied page. If you don't like the results, you can simply delete the duplicate without losing your original work.
  • Organize Your Workspace: Keep your final designs at the top and move experimental pages to the bottom of your project. While we don't have page reordering yet, you can use the duplicate and delete functions to organize your project in a pinch.
  • Regular Clean-Up: Take a moment every now and then to delete old, unused pages. This keeps your project file tidy and makes it easier to find the patterns you're looking for.

And that's all there is to it! Properly managing your pages is a small step that makes a big difference in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive design environment.
