Hello, Patyrn creators!

You’ve spent time creating the perfect seamless pattern. The colors are just right, the elements are perfectly placed, and your design is ready for the world. But how do you get it out of the app and into a usable file?

That’s where exporting comes in! Exporting is the final, exciting step that turns your digital creation into a high-quality file ready for printing, manufacturing, or showcasing online. This guide will walk you through the entire process, from choosing the right format to understanding professional print settings.

Step 1: Finalize Your Masterpiece

Before you export, give your design one last look. Zoom in to check the details, and zoom out to see the overall composition. Make sure every element is exactly where you want it. If you're working on a multi-page project, ensure all your pages are named and ordered correctly.

Step 2: Open the Export Menu

Once you’re ready, look for the Export button, typically located in the top bar of the editor. Clicking this will open the Export Modal, where all the magic happens.

Step 3: Choose Your Export Options

This is the most important step. Your choices here will determine the quality and type of file you receive.

Exporting a Single Page or All Pages?

  • Current Page: If you only need the design you’re currently viewing, this is the option for you.
  • All Pages: Working on a collection? The Batch Export feature is a massive time-saver. It exports all the pages in your project at once and delivers them to you in a single, organized ZIP file.

Step 4: Click Export!

Once you’ve configured your settings, hit the "Export" button. Patyrn will process your design and your download will begin automatically. If you chose to export all pages, you’ll receive a ZIP file. Just unzip it to access all your individual design files.

Pro-Tips for Professional Results

  • Think in DPI: For professional printing, quality is measured in Dots Per Inch (DPI). While Patyrn exports at a high resolution, always aim for a final file that is 300 DPI at the size you want to print.
  • Visualize with Mockups: Before you commit to a big print run, use Patyrn’s Mockup Studio to see how your pattern will look on real products like pillows, scarves, or gift boxes. It’s the best way to catch issues and perfect your scale.

Do a Test Print: Colors can look different on screen versus on paper or fabric. If possible, do a small, inexpensive test print to ensure the colors and scale are exactly what you expect.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully exported your design from Patyrn. You’re now ready to share your creation with the world, print it on physical products, or build your professional design portfolio.

Happy creating
